Why does my Kindle Fire keep turning off?

OK, if you can not resolve the issue. There seems to be a glitch with the software on the Kindle.
Please call customer service if the Kindle is under the one year warranty then it will be replaced at no cost.

my kindle fire hd shuts off all by its self and here is what I do I hold down the power and volume switches until it turns back on then just let it load

I have the same issue. Support said it was a hardware issue and device beyond warranted by a few months. Offered new trade in for $199. LOL. I need a phone upgrade but won't be getting Amazon Fire not with the kind of customer service resolution offered.
