One is used for charging your Kindle Fire HD, as well as transfering files from your computer to your tablet. The second one is for sending the signal out of your KF HD and, with the correct cable, will let you see your screen's content on your flatscreen TV.

One is mini USB port which is for charging and also for connecting to computer/laptop for transferring data.
