Is there going to be a new Kindle Fire HD this year?
I want to get a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 but I don't want to buy one and then they come out with a newer version, cause that always happens to me…
It happens to everyone. Years ago I bought a Nook e-reader. Two weeks later they came out with the Nook Color. One day I was in the store and asked why they didn't tell me a new edition was being released. They said they can't. Until it is released - they can't say anything. Didn't matter - I love the Nook I have. Now look at how many Nook products there are.
I think they don't give much warning in advance of releasing something as that would stop sales of what is already available.
We don't know what they will come out with next - or when. About all you can do is read a little - newspapers and tech articles online and see if there is any hint of anything. There may be - there may not be. May be next month - may be next year.
But you can count on there will likely be something. Bigger screen, better technology. But what - and when - no one knows for sure.
Keep in mind one doesn't necessarily need the "next thing".As there will always be something to follow it. Gets way too hard to keep up with every single "next thing".
If you want it - get it. Enjoy it. Ignore the next newer one.It won't be that much different. Maybe a little bigger - maybe a little faster. But just how fast does it need to be anyway?
And any bigger - might as well carry around a laptop.
Again, I still have my original Nook - and love it. I have no desire to "upgrade".It does the job I want it to do. And that's all that matters.
The next thing - isn't necessarily the best thing.
Quite probably. From the previous trend, Amazon update their Kindle tablets and e-readers once a year. Last time it's by the end of last year, so the next update may be by the end of this year. Indeed, all tablets are like this, Apple release a new iPad every year as well.
I don't think it's good to wait, as there's always tablets coming out. Once you find you want a tablet, and you find the price and features are right, then just go ahead and enjoy using it. Probably you'll upgrade to another tablet after few years, but that's the trend. It's just like our mobile or laptop… So just read some reviews on the model that you're interested, and go ahead if you find it right for you.
What I'm sure is that new Kindle tablet won't be out within these few months, because the Kindle Fire HD is still hotselling. But probably new models will come out by the end of this year.
