How to transfer Kindle Fire books to my pc?
How can I transfer e-books (bought from amazon) from my kindle fire to my computer? I then want to transfer them from my computer back onto my kindle, but to a different account. They are all books that I have purchased from Amazon but from two different accounts, one being mine and the other being my dad's. I want them all onto my account. I know amazon doesn't provide a way for this to happen so I wanted to try the method I stated above, but I'm not sure how.
I need how to (for dummies) step by step instructions for kindle to computer and vice versa.
There are actually two questions here. One is easy, the other isn't.
To transfer the books to your PC, install the Kindle Reader software on your computer. Register it using the same account info. This gives you access to all of your past purchases on that account, m which you can download.
The second issue, how to transfer them to a different account, isn't the easy one. The books have DRM on them that is keyed to the account used for the purchase. Bypassing or removing that DRM is a federal crime. So is buying or selling software that facilitates bypassing or removing the DRM. If you want the books on another account, you either have to buy them again or talk to Amazon and have them transfer the books.
In a legal way, this is nearly impossible since users only have access to the books under his / her own account, though the other person is your family member.
Perhaps you can aks your father to loan some books to you, if the book is lend-able.
This is how to share Kindle books with family and friends. Hope it works.
